Julianne James Borne
Ed.S., CALT-QI, LDT
Hi, I'm Julianne!
I believe every child deserves to feel confident, capable, and understood as a learner. I am a dyslexia therapist, educator, and the heart behind The Learning Collective of the Shoals. I founded this practice with a deep passion for helping children who struggle with reading and learning differences, especially those with dyslexia.
I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist and Qualified Instructor (CALT-QI) with experience in public and private schools, as well as private practices. My approach is rooted in both evidence-based Orton Gillingham practices and genuine connection. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to take risks, build skills, and grow in confidence. I also believe that parents are an essential part of the journey, and I work closely with families to provide clarity, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way.
As a mother myself, I understand how deeply personal your child's learning experience is. My goal is not only to help children improve academically but to help them rediscover their confidence and love of learning.
Whether you're seeking answers, support, or a clear path forward, I'm here to walk alongside you and ensure you and your child receive individualized, attentive care.
